Our Team
Kenneth M. Ford, AWMA® | AIF®
President & Wealth Advisor
Ken Ford brings a lifelong competitive edge to every client relationship. Long before he was guiding families through complex financial decisions, he was standing on podiums and breaking records as one of Hartwick College’s most decorated swimmers. Ken was the first male swimmer inducted into the Hartwick College Athletic Hall of Fame, earning eight All-American honors in three seasons, holding multiple school records, and helping lead a dominant team era that included a perfect 12–0 season. Those achievements weren’t a moment in time — they were the result of discipline, preparation, and the ability to perform when it mattered most.
That same mindset defines Ken’s 30+ year advisory career. After starting on Wall Street at several of the industry’s most established firms, Ken built his reputation advising high-net-worth families with an emphasis on strategy, risk management, and long-term stewardship. His drive to remain fully objective and earned-trust independent led him to the independent advisory space, where today — through his affiliation with Private Advisor Group — his only scoreboard is the progress his clients make toward their goals.
Ken’s competitive spirit isn’t just part of his past; it’s something he actively gives back through his alma mater. He remains closely involved with Hartwick College and currently serves on the Athletic Hall of Fame Committee, helping recognize and celebrate the next generation of exceptional athletes.
Professionally, Ken holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) and Accredited Wealth Management Advisor® (AWMA®) designations from The College for Financial Planning, reflecting advanced training in fiduciary responsibility and the planning needs of affluent investors.
Outside of work, Ken still seeks out challenge and growth. He’s an avid snowboarder and a highly competitive golfer with a low single-digit handicap — a game that mirrors how he works with clients: thoughtful strategy, precision, and consistency over time. Ken lives in Warwick, New York with his wife, Femi, and their two children, Ellie and Leo.
For clients who want an advisor with deep experience, steady perspective, and a true competitor’s commitment to getting the details right, Ken offers a partnership built on preparation, performance, and personal service.
